Sketch Covers, Sketch Covers, & Sketch Covers!

Hello ladies and gents! I know it's been  a while since I lasted posted, but with some very exciting news on the horizon and commissions coming in at an all time high, it's definitely had me behind the drawing table more than behind the computer. But no fear! I plan on making sure I update this place at least once a week with posts of works in progress, random musings, and where my next appearances are.

But as you can tell by the title of this post, Sketch Covers have been finding their way to me for commissions and I have been a complete blast with them.  I have been commissioned from some great folks over the past couple months and even the great Stan Lee! Once he saw my work, his assistant handed me a Wolverine blank sketch (pictured above) and said, "Stan would love your take on Wolverine." I was also fortunate enough to be commissioned by "The Man" himself to do even more sketch covers! Those covers included commissions of Harley Quinn, Wonder Woman, Cable, Mystique, and Carnage. And by doing all these, I was soon introduced to Copic markers and was able to create a Gambit sketch cover (pictured above) and now I'm hooked on Copics. Even bought a deck of cards to do a limited run of Gambit covers. You name the card, and I'll supply the art. So if interested in getting a sketch cover, head on over to my commissions page for the the info.

So with all that, I am glad to be back. Thank you for all your love and support! And stay tuned.

-Phil

    Philip McNulty

It started at the age of 3, while illustrating an amalgamation of a man and a spider swinging on the back of an uncolored page from a coloring book. Since then, Philip McNulty has been bringing his 90's comic influence through outlets such as William Shatner's Man O War, Kevin Smith's SModCo. Cartoon show, and Marvel's X-Men. Quite Simply, Philip McNulty is an animator, illustrator, and comic book geek.
